为避免使用电动扭剪扳手时发生火灾、触电、人身伤害、机械伤害等事故，使用电动剪切钳时须严格遵守以下规定。

1.电源电压不得超过电动扳手铭牌上额定电压的10%。

2.扳手使用的电源插座须与扳手上的电源插头匹配，输入侧的电源（电缆托架）须配备漏电保护器。

3.电动扭剪扳手的本体、电线和漏电保护器须完好无损。

4.高空作业时，扳手须系上绳。

5.不允许在潮湿或雨天使用，或在储存易燃易爆气体的地方使用。

6.使用时应正确选择合适的套筒。

7.按照要求穿戴工作服、帽和带，以在操作过程中保持身体平衡。
